OphelianBirds.com publishes illustrated literary works, not an image gallery. This distinction shapes how what is shown here is protected, layer by layer.
Stories, narrative breakdowns, character bibles, captions, song lyrics, and texts for fictional campaigns published on this site are protected by copyright from the moment they are created. When they exist, they form the foundation of each piece : written before any image, describing the scene, character, or action that the image later illustrates. Some pieces deliberately choose to have no visible text, telling their story through the sequence of images alone : a narrative choice in its own right, protected under the point below.
Ophélia, Anita, EdenIA, and the other characters presented on this site are original creations, protected in their name, their distinctive appearance, and the narrative expression developed across the texts and published works.
The assembly of text and image, the layout, the breakdown into pages, and the sequencing of a piece constitute an original composition in their own right, distinct from the elements that compose it, including when a piece chooses to tell its story without visible text : the sequence and choice of images then carry the same narrative intent, expressed through sequencing rather than the written word.
The illustrations published on this site are produced from the texts above, using image generation models, then reworked in a composition and editing tool developed in-house. They illustrate a pre-existing written work ; they are not its origin.
This order is not cosmetic : a narrative intent, written or carried by sequencing alone, always precedes and drives the image, never the reverse. This is what grounds the protection of the whole, regardless of the tools used to produce any given image.
The editorial and technical work that makes it possible to produce, assemble, and rework these elements rests on free creative choices, refined over several years through a set of tools developed in-house : it is this work of choice and assembly, not the effort it represents, that contributes to the originality of the whole.
Unless stated otherwise, all of these elements are protected by copyright and remain the property of their author, published here under the name OphelianBirds : the narrative, characters, and pages as original creations in their own right, the images as an integral part of the composition that illustrates these creations. Any reproduction, extraction, reuse, or inclusion in a training dataset, in whole or in part, without prior authorization, is prohibited. This reservation explicitly extends to text and data mining within the meaning of Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2019/790, including for the training of artificial intelligence systems. See the Technical Protection section for its machine-readable declaration.
The creative process behind these works (writing, iterations, production dates) is recorded and verifiably timestamped, allowing anteriority to be established in the event of a dispute.

This site collects very little data, and never requires an account, a form, or payment to be viewed.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free tool with no individual profiling : the visitor's IP address and user-agent are used transiently to compute aggregated traffic figures, then immediately discarded. No individual identification is retained. No consent banner is therefore required for this measurement.
Some pages remember, only on the visitor's own device (localStorage), which pieces have already been viewed, to offer more relevant discovery. This information stays on the visitor's device, is never transmitted to OphelianBirds, and can be cleared at any time through the browser's settings.
This site is indexed via Google Search Console, which applies its own privacy rules for the operation of search.
Writing to contact@ophelianbirds.com transmits the message, and the sender's address, to the email service used for this inbox. This information is used only to reply, is never resold or used for any other purpose, and is kept only as long as needed for the exchange.
Under the GDPR, everyone has the right to access, rectify, and erase data concerning them, which can be exercised by simply emailing contact@ophelianbirds.com.
A few technical measures accompany the legal protection of this site, without replacing it.
This site explicitly declares, in a machine-readable way, that it reserves its rights against any text and data mining, including the training of artificial intelligence systems, within the meaning of Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2019/790. This reservation is published in the site's HTTP headers, in a dedicated file (/.well-known/tdmrep.json), and in the header of every page, in accordance with the TDMRep protocol.
Right-click and drag-and-drop are disabled on the site's images, videos, and audio pieces. This measure remains bypassable (screenshots, developer tools). It is not meant to technically prevent copying, but to serve as a reminder of the reflex act of taking content and of the rights reservation stated above.
